This quilt is hand-dyed with homegrown dyes from my garden and holds many stories in its stitches from the deceptively long time it took to make. It reminds me that knowing who you are and shaping who you become are two long, intertwining journeys that intersect with so many other’s journeys around you. The idea of control within this realization is laughable, considering all the things that are at play all at once. You have better odds of manifesting your dreams by adding to the world of opportunity rather than trying to take them. What if you thought about making opportunities, adding to the possibilities of other lives, to reach your dreams? This quilt is a reminder to be the change you want to see. To realize your agency and its relation to others around you. To pop that pussy in the direction of your dreams, baby, and to take all your people with you.
